Island Games: Åland Island Games Team announced

Medals to be awarded at the 2009 Island Games in Aland
Medals to be awarded at the 2009 Island Games in Aland.

The Association is pleased to announce that the 11 swimmers who achieved consideration times for the 2009 Island Games in Åland have all been selected and will represent the Isle of Man in Åland in June. The team members are:

  • Men's team:
    • Dane Harrop (Captain)
    • Tom Bielich
    • Grant Halsall
    • Philip Harrison
    • Jonathan Price
  • Women's team:
    • Rachel Ganly (Captain)
    • Katie Blaker
    • Poppy Evans
    • Hannah Howitt
    • Heather Miller
    • Olivia Rawlinson

The team will be accompanied by:

  • Sacha Djerfi (National Coach)
  • Vicki Rawlinson (Team Manager)
  • Ruth Cooil (Team Physio)

Island Games: Host Island for 2013 Island Games - Bermuda

The membership of the International Island Games Association have unanimously chosen Bermuda as the host island for the Island Games in 2013. It will be the first time this growing event will take place on the other side of the Atlantic. Full article available from the IGA website.
